IT'S SIMPLE TO GET STARTED

Glad to have you aboard!
This is just an introductory of how the process works so that you can get a feel of what to do going into publication; by creating your trade book or audiobook and presenting it on a global scale. Yes, your book will be at booksellers worldwide - from Amazon to Barnes & Noble, from Powell Booksellers to across the seas at Blackwell Booksellers in the UK, and many more. If your book draws a little attention, it might also be seen at department stores and airport outlets like the Hudson Booksellers. But please remember, all books start through online booksellers in the database system before departure into a physical brick and mortar store (Example: Amazon is not a physical bookstore, but Barnes & Noble is both; physical and online.)

FOR PRE-APPROVAL

Make sure your manuscript is complete. Remember, we need to review it for pre-approval prior to accepting it for publication because we do care about what comes through our publishing house. Please submit a copy of your manuscript in some type of Word Document format or PDF through our book submission system. You can also send it on a CD, Thumb Drive to ASA Publishing Corporation, 1285 N. Telegraph Rd., PMB #351, Monroe, Michigan 48162.

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

Once the manuscript is received from the author to the publisher, then a book identification number is placed on it to monitor the book's progress when going through the process and into publication. Next, the manuscript is divided into sections called "Bookblocks". Each section will be assigned to an expert in that field. These sections will have "Steps" in our Processing Room that the author will be clicking into to correct, review, and validate the work prior to pre-publication.

PUBLICATION PROCESS

When you go into the Processing Room you will be going through different steps to ensure that the work product (manuscript transformation into book or audiobook) is correct and complete. Once you give the final approval of the work product sections, the manuscript will be assembled into a digital book (PDF) by the publisher for a final review. After you sign-off on the approval of the work, the book will receive an ISBN & Barcode and then sent into pre-publication for a review with our printing and distribution houses to make sure that we didn't miss any steps prior to actual publication.

LAUNCHING YOUR BOOK/AUDIOBOOK

When everything is in order and all documents are signed by the author/client (you); given the green light to the publisher, the publisher will make the book/audiobook available to the public at a global distribution level through the online database system so that booksellers can have knowledge and access of your now published book or audiobook.
